The department of English at Thal University Bhakkar seeks to promote general literacy, create an excellent learning-friendly environment, cultivate a research oriented academic culture and furnish vast knowledge of English Literature and Linguistics to enhance critical, creative and communicative competence of students to meet international standards and market demands. The department provides instructions in courses that nurture students’ abilities and skills in intellectual and cultural arena and foster in them an innovative approach towards life to secure personal and professional excellence.
The department endeavors its best to equip and train students in a way to enable them secure promising jobs and attain productive professional careers. The department offers two programs annually: MA English and BS English. The courses in the programs pursue to develop literary and linguistic competence par excellence in order to increase their knowledge of human nature along with enhancing their skills pertaining to reading, writing, listening and speaking English. The interdisciplinary and allied courses add new academic colours to the literary spectrum
